I am in the process of trying to find some chairs for our living room and it makes me want to set my hair on fire and run down the street screaming because I can't find my idea of perfection. I want something with simple lines, a vintage feel, and a price tag that will not having me telling Punky "Sorry honey no college for you, but have seat in Mommy's pretty chair and try not to stain it with tears."
Enter (1) Urban Outfitters Madeline Chair, which has everything I am looking for - well almost. I REALLY want a chair that has the gorgeous purple color of the (2) Irene Bowl from Zara Home. Sigh.
Am I asking for too much? I think not.
Maybe I need to make friends with a good upholsterer. Also should I be concerned that the reviews state the chair is tiny and I have a husband who is 6'- see why I want to set my hair on fire?!?!?!
YOU CRACK ME UP!!!! AT LEAST YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!!!! WHEN IT COMES TO FURNISHINGS AND CLOTHES, YOU KNOW YOUR MIND WOMAN!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat if you found a "second hand" chair that you love and reupholster in a great purple fabric? Maybe a Craigslist search could get you the perfect design and you make the color happen. Good luck. I know it is frustrating and expensive. I need to do something about my faded love seats but my daughter is getting married this summer and that is NOT going to happen for a while.
ReplyDeleteI SO relate to this. Ha! It is painful when you know just what you want and the only problem is that IT DOES NOT ACTUALLY EXIST. I know you'll come up with a creative solution.
ReplyDeletegosh girl, keep those tresses intact! it's not worth all that but i can see and hear your pain trying to find the right chair for the right purpose. upholstery could be the way to go, i'd scour around for a good, cheap & cheerful, then throw the bucks towards that fab color you want. cheers to finding perfection for your tushter!!!! ♥
