Go Amelia

Did you know that on August 25, 1932 Amelia Earhart landed the first solo transcontinental flight made by a woman? She departed Los Angeles, CA on August 24th and landed in a record breaking 19 hours later in Newark, NJ. How is that for some girl power?

Just a fun fact to share with you.

  1. 19 HOURS?! Can you imagine if it still took that long to travel to the east coast?! HAHA! But, yes, she's a total rockstar. :)

  2. You and your fab photos! Also, I just read something about the Punky Brewster character and while I was reading it I thought, I have to remember to tell Angela! Like a book, something...damned if I can remember!!!

  3. @Jenn...I wouldn't want to imagine being on a plane for 19 hours, especially alone. I am such a scaredy cat flier so even getting on the plane takes courage in my mind.

@Margie...What is it?!?! You know I love her, and I do think she wrote a parenting book maybe, hmmm, must investigate :)
